The executive will assist to manage the Legal Aid Bureau’s (LAB) work in relation to its external partners, including case management, processing of bills and sending of documents and correspondence. Case management and communications with the Assigned Solicitors will form the bulk of the work.

What the role is
What you will be working on
The LE’s responsibilities include the following:
a. Assisting the current team of executives in monitoring the status and performance of legal aid cases sent to Assigned Solicitors
b. Interacting with Assigned Solicitors, legal aid applicants, legal officers and other partners, as required
c. Dealing with finance-related matters concerning the assigned legal applications, in particular the processing bills for payment
d. Basic e-Filing of LAB-specific court documents using existing templates on eLitigation/iFAMs.
e. Replying to standard correspondence and general enquiries
f. Assisting to coordinate and facilitate internships at LAB
What we are looking for
Requirements
• [Legal Case Management] – Apply basic understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures, forms and IT systems related to case management such as case registration, opening, monitoring, case review and closing to support efficient and timely caseload disposal.
• [Legal Case Management] – Carry out checks as per pre-defined steps to ensure the validity and completeness of the information submitted for each case
• [Legal Case Management] - Follow up with customers on any missing information or seek clarifications for the information submitted
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following traits:
• Good speaking and writing skills
• Ability to use software in MS Office packages
• Ability to speak in a mother tongue
• Ability to work well in teams
The successful candidate will be offered a 6 months’ non-renewable contract.
