What the role is
What you will be working on
Principle accountabilities
• Work closely with Home Team Departments (HTD), interviewers, candidates, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of recruitment activities for new and in-service officers. These include shortlisting, scheduling, data and document collation, submissions and other processes towards the final step of job offer.
• Ensure that candidates’ and stakeholders’ needs are addressed timely and satisfactorily.
• Propose process enhancements and conduct reviews to harmonise processes across MHA for consistency and efficiency.
• Escalate and communicate risks and issues to management as appropriate.
Recruitment
• Perform shortlisting of candidates for HTDs.
• Manage scheduling of interviews, psychometric test, and other assessments.
• Administer FormSG, collection of documents and data required for appointments.
• Assist with the preparation of approval for appointments.
• Liaise with HTDs and HTDs’ training facilities for pre-boarding of new officers.
• Responsible for record keeping and tracking of overall status for recruitment.
Change/Upgrade of Scheme
• Review change/upgrade of scheme process and SOP
• Work with HTDs on processing the appointments based on criteria and eligibility
• Assist with the preparation of approval for change/upgrade of scheme
Major Challenges
Balancing the expectations of management, HTDs, candidates, employees and other stakeholders whilst maintaining service standards in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Understand the diverse profiles of the HTDs and their requirements in order to accurately assess and recommend relevant solutions to meet their hiring needs.
• Keep up with changes to HR policies and operating landscape.
What we are looking for
• Meticulous and independent worker who can carry out the job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills to engage, negotiate, and establish rapport with internal teams and other stakeholders to achieve goals and objectives.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical capability, writing and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
• Comfortable with data and new technologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel would be an advantage.
• Preferably with working experience in Human Resource.
• iHRP preferred.
