The CDA is a new government agency that is being established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore’s communicable diseases preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response.
As a Senior/Public Health Officer of the Immunisation Policy and Strategy (IPS) Division, you will be contributing to the Division’s objective of minimising morbidity and mortality of vaccine-preventable diseases of public health importance through shaping national immunisation policies and strategies.
You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be involved in the development, review and administration of the Vaccine Injury Financial Assistance Programme (VIFAP). Specific to COVID-19 vaccination, you will support the ongoing review of policy parameters of the programme, ensure smooth administration through maintenance of public materials, coordination with relevant stakeholders, and managing/monitoring of budget.
In addition, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team that looks into enhancing the existing VIFAP programme, with the view to evaluate how the programme may apply to other or future public health events. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with respective MOH and healthcare stakeholders, in the design and implementation of the programme.
Job responsibilities
• Conduct reviews of the policy parameters for the VIFAP
• Ensure smooth implementation of the VIFAP
• Enhance the VIFAP and evaluate its application to other or future public health events
What we are looking for
• Minimally Tertiary education in relevant discipline, preferably in public health, epidemiology, infectious diseases, or equivalent or work experience in public health-related field and/or policy would be an added advantage
• Candidates with relevant clinical and vaccinology background are strongly preferred
• Good personal management and organisational abilities to engage a large variety of stakeholders
• Forward-thinking, analytical mindset
• Good situational awareness regarding global developments in vaccine scientific information and data, manufacturing/ pandemic preparedness, with the ability to integrate these developments with research findings to shape policy
• Good understanding of local and international communicable disease control principles
