The Assurance, Care and Engagement Group (ACE), a permanent division under the Ministry of Manpower, improves the well-being of migrant workers by enhancing the healthcare, housing and social aspects of the migrant worker landscape.
You will support the Operations Readiness team in contingency planning and horizon scanning of the operating environment, and assist in sense-making and coordinate the development of cross-cutting contingency plans that could impact the dorm-dwelling migrant worker population in Singapore. These roles and responsibilities are relevant and critical for maintaining ACE’s crisis readiness and strengthening operational linkages amongst various stakeholders.

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Work with ACE departments to develop peacetime contingency and national emergency plans.
• Work with MOM Divisions/Departments and across government agencies (e.g., MHA, MSE, MND, MOT) to ensure that the contingency plans are coordinated and appropriately resourced (e.g. securing alternative housing for displaced migrant workers).
• Maintain and review operational readiness plans to manage contingencies which could significantly affect management of migrant workers.
• Plan and participate in exercises to validate contingency plans.

• Tertiary education
• Strong conceptualisation, strategic thinking, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Possess mental clarity to multi-task and work under tight timeline.
• Good writing, analytical and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to grasp the nuances in competing interests of different stakeholders involved in operation planning related to migrant worker issues.
• Experience in crisis preparedness planning and operations management will be an advantage.
