What the role is

Introduction to SAFCo

SAFCo, Company by Limited Guarantee (CLG) fully owned by CAAS, will be set up to implement Singapore’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) target policy, where the levies collected from air transport users are used to centrally purchase SAF. SAFCo will also engage businesses and organisations to encourage voluntary use of SAF for their own decarbonisation plans. This entity will aggregate both the regulated and voluntary demand for SAF, in order to secure better pricing for SAF by reaping economies of scale. SAFCo will also be responsible for allocating the SAF credits generated from SAF purchased back to the airlines and corporates.

The CEO of SAFCo is responsible for driving the strategic direction and managing the operations of the company. This role requires extensive leadership and strategic management experience in aviation fuel sales/trading and business development operations, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a strong understanding of fuel sales/trading/contracting arrangements and related procurement processes.
