We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior/Assistant Director (Governance and Corporate Finance), Finance Division on a 6-month contract. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in financial and accounting functions in MTI.

• Manage and oversee MTI-HQ’s daily finance operations, which includes but is not limited to processing of payments, deposit records, fixed asset transactions and journal transactions, updates to vendor bank and other financial system records, as well as ensuring internal controls are being adhered to on an organisational-level and are in compliance with the Government’s regulations and instruction manuals; • Work with both internal and external stakeholders on audit, policy and process-related queries; • Manage and ensure timely submission of financial returns to central Government agencies; • Monitor, analyse, report and present financial metrics to management; • Review financial processes and policies, and identify areas for improvement and automation to strengthen controls and efficiency; • Contribute to Finance Division’s process improvement and transformation efforts.

• A relevant field of study in Accountancy, Business Administration or related disciplines with at least 2 years of relevant working and/or supervisory experience. Past relevant working experience within the Singapore Public Service with working knowledge of Government Instruction Manuals and experience in the use of Government central financial platforms (e.g. NFS@Gov) would be an advantage; • Committed, responsible and self-driven; • Good communication, analytical thinking and interpersonal skills; • Ability to manage multiple work priorities within tight timelines; • Ability to work independently and effectively as a team; • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
