What you will be working on

In this role, you will: • Perform and manage the timely monthly closing activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reports and providing strategic insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards • Lead the implementation of FRS 117 Insurance Contracts. • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather and analyse financial performance, identifying anomalies and risks from the review of financial data. • Develop and implement effective financial processes and systems to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and financial regulations. • Manage and optimise funds' cash flows, maximizing investment returns while adhering to risk management policies. • Ability to lead and mentor a team of accounting officers, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and professional development. • Act as a liaison with Government Bodies, Statutory Boards, and the President's Office on financial reporting matters, ensuring compliance and timely submissions. • Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects to support the overall finance function.

What we are looking for

We value the diverse talents and experiences that each individual brings to the table. While mastery of every requirement may not be necessary, familiarity and expertise in some of the following areas will position you for success within this team. • Relevant work experience in accounting or audit, preferably with prior working experience or familiarity to the insurance industry. • Good understanding of Singapore/Statutory Board Financial Reporting Standards, with proficiency in FRS 109 Financial Instruments. • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and convey complex financial information effectively. • Experience with PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools preferred, with the ability to use data visualisation for enhanced reporting and insights. • Continuous learning mindset, with a willingness to stay updated on evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices. The seniority of appointment and actual corporate job title will commensurate with individual work experiences. Position is on a 1-year full-time contract directly under the payroll of CPF Board with an option to renew, contingent upon confirmation and subject to organisational needs. Additionally, there is potential for emplacement into a permanent position.
