The jobholder is part of a dynamic team to champion CLC’s collaboration with cities and international partners, in areas of knowledge creation/sharing and capability development. The jobholder will be guided by the Deputy Director, Capability Development and International Advisory (CDIA), to seek out strategic opportunities with key cities and overseas partners.

What the role is
What you will be working on
As part of the CDIA International Programme Team covering Multi-lateral Development Banks (MDBs), China, South Asia and Middle East, the jobholder will assist to:
1. Support the formulation and implementation of strategies and plans to deepen CLC’s knowledge collaboration with MDBs, cities and overseas partners under the team’s purview;
a. Curate and deliver capability development programmes, workshops and roundtables to engage key overseas entities/partners including MDBs’ representatives, mayoral-level representatives, senior city officials and corporate representatives.
b. Support the planning and implementation of CLC’s other workstreams such as targeted research collaboration and overarching knowledge forums such as the WCS and Mayors Forum.
2. Support the development of CLC’s body of knowledge in the areas of sustainable finance and infrastructure financing from the perspectives of urban governance and related development policies through knowledge-sharing collaboration with relevant partners and experts;
3. Coordinate with the relevant agencies and support the Whole-Of-Government effort in engaging the MDBs, cities and overseas partners;
4. Prepare inputs and respond to requests for information related to your assigned work areas; and
5. Support CLC’s strategic initiatives / special projects (that may be outside your scope of responsibilities).
What we are looking for
• Preferably a minimum of five years of relevant work experience, in the areas of finance particularly sustainable finance, infrastructure finance, economics, urban planning and development, international relations, environmental sustainability issues.
• Proven experience working in public sector or working knowledge of public sector governance and management, sustainable/green financing, or international relations would be advantageous.
• Keen interest in international issues particularly sustainable finance and infrastructure finance, and forging strategic partnerships with MDBs, cities and leading organisations.
• Excellent organisational, written and communication skills.
• Effectively bilingual (written and spoken).
• Resourceful, self-motivated and keen learner.
• Adapts well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and a good team player.
• Willing to travel for work.
