The Government Procurement Function Office oversees the Government procurement policies, practices, systems, and workforce development. Among other responsibilities, we drive transformation of the whole-of-government (WOG) procurement function. Our Vision is to enable the procurement function to serve as a valued partner with commercial acumen and operations appreciation that enables Government agencies to buy effectively to achieve agencies' mission and objectives while ensuring public accountability.

The Senior Associate/Associate (Strategic Planning and Development) is part of a team that develops and implements the transformation roadmap for the WOG procurement function to achieve our Vision. Key result areas include: • Formulate and drive the implementation of key projects to achieve WOG procurement function transformation objectives • Review WOG procurement function structure and work with stakeholders to implement necessary enhancements and business process re-engineering to achieve greater effectiveness, efficiency, and better service delivery • Organise and facilitate engagements and change management activities with public agencies to enable the transformation • Undertake policy review and business process re-engineering workstreams to strengthen public service construction project management and facilities management in partnership with the JTC Building and Infrastructure (B&I) Centre of Excellence

• Ability to look at issues from a range of perspectives, review the status quo and anticipate challenges in the future working context, coupled with an appreciation for practical implementation issues • Self-driven and committed individual able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities • Strong facilitation, engagement, and communication skills • Comfortable working with data to inform decision-making • Ability to implement, monitor and manage projects against established timelines to achieve objectives in an effective and efficient manner • A background in organisational change, re-structuring and development will be useful • A background in procurement is preferred but not required
