The Government Procurement Function Office oversees the Government procurement policies, practices, systems, and workforce development. Among other responsibilities, we drive transformation of the whole-of-government (WOG) procurement function. Our Vision is to enable the procurement function to serve as a valued partner with commercial acumen and operations appreciation that enables Government agencies to buy effectively to achieve agencies' mission and objectives while ensuring public accountability.

What the role is
What you will be working on
The Senior Associate/Associate (Strategic Planning and Development) is part of a team that develops and implements the transformation roadmap for the WOG procurement function to achieve our Vision.
Key result areas include:
• Formulate and drive the implementation of key projects to achieve WOG procurement function transformation objectives
• Review WOG procurement function structure and work with stakeholders to implement necessary enhancements and business process re-engineering to achieve greater effectiveness, efficiency, and better service delivery
• Organise and facilitate engagements and change management activities with public agencies to enable the transformation
• Undertake policy review and business process re-engineering workstreams to strengthen public service construction project management and facilities management in partnership with the JTC Building and Infrastructure (B&I) Centre of Excellence

• Ability to look at issues from a range of perspectives, review the status quo and anticipate challenges in the future working context, coupled with an appreciation for practical implementation issues
• Self-driven and committed individual able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Strong facilitation, engagement, and communication skills
• Comfortable working with data to inform decision-making
• Ability to implement, monitor and manage projects against established timelines to achieve objectives in an effective and efficient manner
• A background in organisational change, re-structuring and development will be useful
• A background in procurement is preferred but not required
