What the role is

MANAGER / DEPUTY MANAGER, IT SYSTEMS (APPLICATION INFRASTRUCTURE)

What you will be working on

You will provide technical consultancy to projects and undertake project conceptualisation, design, solutioning and system architecting throughout a project lifecycle from acquisition to implementation and maintenance to ensure that the application infrastructure is able to support the required business needs. You will conduct technology exploration, sourcing, and implementation, including project procurement which includes tender specifications preparation & evaluation, implementation, and quality assurance. You will also manage IT contracts and provide technical advice to the project, ensure that the contractors fulfil contractual obligations leading to successful project delivery. This includes reviewing project deliverables and ensuring system resilience and compliance to relevant guidelines/policies, as well as manage Operations and Maintenance works including audits, risk assessments, service delivery levels.

Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of application infrastructure to ensure it meets business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and robust application architecture solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend technologies, products, tools, and frameworks to improve the performance and efficiency of LTA's applications, including technology refreshes and product replacements.
• Define and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines for application development and architecture.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing application architecture, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
• Manage vendors and contractors, managing contracts and ensuring they meet performance and compliance standards
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on LTA's application architecture.

What we are looking for

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in application and system architecture consultancy, design, and development.
• Good experience on large scale infrastructure on-premises and cloud design, build, operate and migration projects.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, high-performance, and secure application architectures.
• Proficiency in a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to enterprise infrastructure solutions covering networks as well as servers, storage and security systems.
• Possess good stakeholder management, presentation skills and effective oral/written communications.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the concept of System life cycle.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, etc.) would be an advantage.
