In this role, you will apply economic framework and analytical techniques on a variety of data types to derive policy and programme insights, as well as to analyse the state of the infocomm media sector.

Responsibilities
Conduct economic research and analysis to distill insights into current trends and forecast developments in the infocomm and media sectors.
Quantitatively assess the economic and social impacts of IMDA's policies and programmes.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders within and outside the organisation to define data needs, supporting evidence-based policy and strategy development.
Engage in data acquisition, econometric modelling, and advanced analytics, including data visualization, to provide actionable insights.
Identify and implement data-driven initiatives to foster innovation and reinforce a data-centric approach within the organization.
Provide data and statistical support for policy and programme formulation.
Requirements:
A degree in Economics or a closely related field.
Around 2 to 3 years of experience in economic research and analysis, with some experience in data analytics.
Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages such as Stata, R and Python.
Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau and techniques.
An independent, self-motivated individual with the ability to tackle complex issues and thrive in cross-functional teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for presenting complex data in a clear and persuasive manner.
Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for the Manager position.
