We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient senior-level team leader to join our Cybersecurity Engineering Centre. This role demands strong technical leadership and expertise in cybersecurity, passion for disruptive and emerging technologies, and a drive to stay at the cutting edge of the latest trends. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the Director in overseeing other lead and senior consultants, focusing on performing technical risk analysis and formulating strategies and policies, and providing expert insights on cybersecurity implications of disruptive and emerging technologies.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Ensure the team stays updated with the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and practices.
• Oversee horizon scans and deep dives on disruptive and emerging technologies such as Quantum, AI, Mobile Security, IoT security, OT security, Smart Vehicles, Internet Security etc.
• Identify key threats, conduct technical risk analysis, and formulate mitigation strategies. Collaborate with whole-of-government teams, industry, and research partners to develop cybersecurity solutions.
• Develop technical policies and advisories for the safe adoption of disruptive and emerging technologies. Provide recommendations to de-risk technology adoption for Government Agencies, Critical Information Infrastructures Owners and Enterprises.
• Represent CSA and Singapore in national and international standard committees. Engage with international partners for knowledge exchange and thought leadership in these technical domains to foster global collaboration.
• Provide strategic technical advice to senior leadership, delivering expert insights on cybersecurity implications of disruptive and emerging technologies and their strategic impact on national digital infrastructure.
What we are looking for
Requirements
• Minimum 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on technical roles, and at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security or ICT related field.
• Good understanding of disruptive and emerging technologies.
• Deep knowledge in at least one of the disruptive/emerging technologies mentioned
• Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record in leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Driven and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working in cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams.
