Information Systems & Geospatial Group (ISGG) is one of the key groups in URA that drives ICT transformation initiatives to support our URA mission. Be part of the URA Information Systems, Application Department, where we partner closely with our Groups to plan, design, develop and deploy enterprise IT systems, e-Services, mobile apps and web portals to support work process transformation and improve service delivery for our external customers. In addition to providing IT advisory and support to continually improve our IT systems to ensure its relevance and capability to meet changing business needs, we also constantly explore new digital technologies and possibilities via collaboration with key industry players to advance strategic deployment of ICT in URA.

What the role is
What you will be working on
URA has a suite of services and systems to facilitate processing and services to the business users and property developers. These services are currently natively developed in Java to collect, process data and compile statistics provided for private residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The intern is required to work with their mentor and will be assigned tasks in one or more of the following areas, tailored to their interests and skills:
a. Work together with your mentor to understand the current services, explore and testbed if the process or service could be re-developed to the new Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) on PowerApps
b. Be part of the Product Development Team to develop and create PowerApp.
c. Work with business users and team to gather requirements.
d. Conduct testing and develop test cases for the user and the team.
e. Document on the work done for knowledge transfer.
The intern is expected to reap the following learning outcomes:
• Develop good analytics skill by learning about the current digital platform and technologies available to meet user requirements
• Build good knowledge of how the PaaS services works with hands-on experience
• Build good communication skills with users and the team
• Write documentation on the works done for knowledge management/transfer to the organisation to ensure sustainability
What we are looking for
Students currently pursuing Diploma in Information Technology.
We are open to accept students looking for credit-bearing internship.
