At the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), we strive to build a Great Workforce and a Great Workplace. We work to achieve a globally competitive workforce and great workplace, for a cohesive society and a secure economic future for all Singaporeans. Our work transcends the boundaries of our desks – it takes us to real workplaces all over Singapore. We are continually on the lookout for individuals who want to make a difference and impact lives in the core areas of our work.
The Data Governance Office (DGO) was set up in the Strategic Planning and Transformation Department (SPTD) to curate, drive and implement comprehensive data strategies within MOM. This includes establishing data policies, ensuring data quality and security, setting standards for data handling, and overseeing the entire data lifecycle. DGO plays a crucial role in facilitating appropriate data sharing, promoting ethical data use, and collaborating with partnering teams to enhance data literacy across the organisation. It also ensures compliance with relevant regulations and advises on data utilisation for improved decision-making. DGO acts as a central authority on all data-related matters, working to optimise data assets and resolve any data-related conflicts within MOM.
