What the role is

[What this role is]

As a member of the Biology Division of the Applied Sciences Group, you will play a critical role in routine casework examinations in our laboratory and/or supporting ongoing research projects.

[What you will be working on]

  • Examination and DNA profiling on crime evidence.
  • Participating in lab improvement/research projects, and to assist in developing/validating new technologies/methods.
  • Supporting laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, procurement of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies.
  • Adhering to stringent quality control and quality assurance protocols, and assisting in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates, conduct of basic performance checking tests.

[What we are looking for]

  • Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent) is a must
  • Successfully completed supervised laboratory research in project in biochemistry, molecular biology area
  • Detail‐oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
  • Collaborative team player with the capability to work independently, showcasing a proactive approach.
