In line with the public sector’s target, PUB targets to achieve net zero emission around 2045, contingent on the progress of technologies and international cooperation to enable mitigation measures. One of the key strategies to the increase renewable energy production through the deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on our land installations and in our reservoirs. In land-scare Singapore, our vast reservoir surfaces have great potential to hardness renewable energy, allowing reservoirs to serve as both water catchment and storge, as well as for clean electricity generation. With such potential, PUB is striving to help Singapore achieve its national target of at least 2GWp by 2030, contributing to efforts to fight climate change.

As part of the team, your scope will include the following: 1. Develop and oversee the solar master plan to accelerate the deployments towards PUB’s commitments under SG Green Plan and PUB’s net zero target. This includes the plan to deploy floating solar within challenging areas post 2030. 2. Develop solar related policy, including management of Renewable Energy Certificates (on-site vs off-site consumption), solar contract business models (PPA, Contract for Difference). 3. Undertake upstream planning for floating solar deployments, including collaboration with agencies, understanding agencies broad requirements, feasibility studies for deployment, obtaining land valuation and alienate land. 4. Keep abreast of developments to enhance solar efficiency and collaborate with agencies to explore novel deployment approaches (e.g. deployment over canals, coupling with energy storage systems, solar façade systems).Manage solar test-bed projects. 5. Prepare updates at various Whole-of-Government (WOG) meetings chaired by Minister

• Degree holder in engineering or equivalent • Candidates with experience in solar project management, electrical connection, with a proven track record of liaising with various groups and functions to achieve targets or drive improvements, would be highly beneficial. • The ideal candidate should also possess a passion for sustainability, is self-motivated and have ability to thrive under tight deadlines. They should be adaptable to a nascent and evolving role and demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp new information. • Organised and meticulous, with strong communication skills.
