What the role is
What you will be working on
Project Leadership:
• Lead and manage high-profile international collaboration projects focused on the exchange of best practices in urban design, strategic development, and innovative solutions.
• Plan and coordinate workshops, learning exchanges, and forums to enhance global partnerships and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and implement strategies to amplify the impact and visibility of urban design initiatives locally and internationally.
Urban Design and Strategic Development:
• Develop and evaluate comprehensive plans for various urban projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and sustainability goals.
• Lead urban design projects that integrate public space design, land use planning, and community engagement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement design guidelines and frameworks that support high-quality urban development.
Building International Stakeholder Relationships:
• Cultivate and maintain partnerships with international stakeholders, including policymakers, city representatives, and industry experts, to drive collaboration and strategic initiatives.
• Engage with global partners to foster the exchange of ideas, best practices, and joint solutions to urban challenges.
• Represent the organisation in meetings and discussions to strengthen international networks and partnerships.
Design Excellence Initiatives:
• Organise and oversee exhibitions, design competitions, and awards that highlight outstanding urban design and development practices.
• Coordinate and facilitate talks, seminars, and workshops to engage professionals and the public in meaningful urban planning discussions.
• Oversee the creation and dissemination of publications that showcase urban design innovations and thought leadership.
Event and Stakeholder Management:
• Plan and execute impactful events that bring together local and international stakeholders to address urban challenges and share insights.
• Manage event logistics to ensure seamless execution and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Work collaboratively to ensure stakeholder needs are met and projects achieve intended outcomes.
Research and Policy Development:
• Conduct research on emerging trends and challenges in urban design, strategic urban development, and international urban policies to inform programme development.
• Contribute to the formulation of policies and programmes that align with the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s (URA) mission to promote design excellence and sustainability.
What we are looking for
• Degree in architecture, urban design, urban planning, geography, urban studies, international relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in urban design, strategic development, project management, or event coordination.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in building and managing relationships with international stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• A proactive and creative approach, with a passion for urban development and fostering global partnerships.
