What the role is
What you will be working on
You will play a crucial role in ensuring that internal control processes and procedures are adequate and compliant with government instruction manuals, laws, and regulations. You will have the opportunity to perform risk assessments on new and existing processes and develop recommendations for improving operations, controls, and compliance with regulations. You will also have the chance to educate departments on common audit findings for sharing and learning purposes and partner with line departments on how to improve governance and controls while participating in transformation efforts to Internal Audit such as implementing continuous auditing or AI tools to improve audit efficiency.
What we are looking for
• At least 8 years of audit experience in external and internal audits with established accounting firms or IA function.
• Experienced in conducting operational and financial audits and providing advisory on controls and governance matters.
• Experienced in implementing continuous audits and/or control self-assessment will be an advantage.
• Experienced in leading a small team and supervising auditors.
• Independent and meticulous officer who can multi-task and relate well with a variety of stakeholders.
• Inquisitive mind and demonstrate a keen willingness to learn.
