What the role is
What you will be working on
As a Tax Policy (TP) officer in MOF, you will formulate and implement tax policies to ensure a pro-growth fiscal system that will expand Singapore’s economic space and promote our social objectives. You achieve this by:
• Identifying initiatives and processing approvals to facilitate optimal management of tax measures through other government agencies
• Engaging and consulting relevant stakeholders in the review and implementation of tax policies
• Undertaking benchmarking research/studies, identifying and addressing international tax developments that are expected to have a medium/long-term impact.
What we are looking for
• Background in Economics/Business/Accountancy would be an advantage
• Keen interest in, and passion for public policy work
• Strong analytical and quantitative ability with good writing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders
