1. To support the accurate forecasting of intellectual property (IP) filings, to enhance IPOS resource planning.
2. Job descriptions include the following:
• Conduct literature review of current best practices for IP forecasting by researchers and other IP offices
• Find new explanatory or relevant (macroeconomic) variables that can be included in the forecasting models to help improve forecasts; collect, clean, and preprocess time series data from various sources.
• Utilise forecasting software or develop new forecasting models in R/Python for both short-term and long-term forecasting.

What you will be working on
What we are looking for
1. Undergrad or graduate in the following fields: Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Data Science / Economics / Statistics / Mathematics or other related fields
2. Experience in doing forecasting work with the following ability, knowledge, or skills is preferred:
• Ability to learn and use time series forecasting / AI software such as DataRobot, SAS Viya, etc.
• Ability to do time series forecasting in R/Python (possess knowledge of time series forecasting libraries)
• Knowledge in time series modelling (time series models) or machine learning models (e.g., ARIMA/SARIMA, exponential smoothing, state space models, deep learning-based models (e.g., LSTM, GRU), Random Forests, XGBoost)
• Data handling and manipulation skills in R/Python
• Ability to commit for 3 months
