Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing secure RESTful APIs using Python for data sharing purposes.
• Implement authentication and authorisation mechanisms for API access.
• Contribute to the development of an access control interface for managing API credentials.
• Design and implement a system for fine-grained resource access control for API users.
• Support the deployment and management of applications on AWS.
• Contribute to database management and optimisation using SQL Server.
• Participate in code reviews, testing processes, and security audits.

Requirements:
• Current enrolment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree programme.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Familiarity with RESTful API concepts, design principles, and security best practices.
• Understanding of access control models and implementation techniques.
• Experience with or interest in developing user interfaces for credential management.
• Knowledge of authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT) and API security measures.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing platforms, preferably AWS, and their security features.
• Understanding of SQL, database management systems, and data protection techniques.
• Interest in cybersecurity and data privacy regulations.
• Ability to commit up to 4 months.
