What the role is
What you will be working on
The key responsibilities are:
• Develop an organisation-wide strategic framework for communications which include identifying the comms priorities, objectives and narratives before producing a 12-month rolling integrated plan showing all the key activities against these priorities.
Use insights to shape narratives and refine campaign strategies and approaches.
• Develop key messages and communications strategies in line with organisation objectives to shape public perception and enhance corporate reputation.
• Drive the communications roll-out of key programmes, projects and initiatives
• Provide leadership support in managing crisis communications.
• Develop and update PUB’s crisis communications plans.
• Participate in emergency exercises and review learning points so as to enhance PUB’s overall readiness in crisis communications management.
What we are looking for
• Degree in communications, journalism or a related discipline with minimum 8-10 years of relevant working experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Track record of success in driving integrated communications programmes to deliver key outcomes
• Ability to lead and guide teams to deliver high quality comms work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Good interpersonal skills. Superb ability in influencer communications, including building relationships and pitching stories, driven by a results-focused approach
• Ability to build and manage key relationships with a wide range of media contacts including editors and reporters
• Digital and social media savvy with professional/client experience
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent writing skills along with strong presentation and oral communication skills
• Highly motivated and able to deliver under tight deadlines
• Work well independently and also a good team player
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Good understanding of the media landscape and good rapport with editors/journalists
