The Government Partnerships & Engagement Group (GPEG) contributes to the development of a collaborative government that empowers partnerships and engagement (PE) with citizens for a better Singapore. It does this through the development of public sector capabilities in partnerships and engagement, external partnerships and the design and organisation of Whole-of-Government (WOG) PE initiatives.
Within GPEG, Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO) has been recently established to take the lead making a decisive shift towards deepening partnership – between government and citizens, and citizens with one another.
The intern will gain first-hand insights into how the Singapore Government Partnerships Office (SGPO) nurtures and advances citizen-government partnerships by supporting the development and execution of outreach strategies aimed at increasing engagement on the Partners submissions. Working alongside a dedicated team, the intern will focus on:
• Fostering active citizenry through effective outreach initiatives
• Contributing to a democracy of deeds by facilitating partnership opportunities

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Supporting the development and implementation of outreach strategies aimed at increasing the visibility of partnership opportunities and platforms, and to facilitate more citizens coming forward with partnership proposals
- Assisting with scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and coordinating logistics for outreach activities
- Managing communications with stakeholders, including sending invitations, follow-ups, and maintaining records of outreach efforts
- Compiling reports and summaries for leadership updates on the progress and outcomes of outreach efforts
• Conducting post-event evaluations of outreach efforts to identify trends, success factors, and areas for improvement
- Analyzing feedback and data from recent engagements to assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies
- Developing insights based on event outcomes to enhance future approaches to partner engagement
• Researching best practices in outreach strategies from similar government or civic platforms
- Identifying successful engagement models that can be adapted to increase participation on the Partners Portal and other channels.
What we are looking for
• A motivated team-player with a learning disposition
• Strong research, writing, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing outreach initiatives, analysing and evaluating programmes
• Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
