What the role is

MCCY’s International Relations (IR) team coordinates the Ministry’s IR strategy through engagements with international partners and agencies to enhance Singapore’s standing. We often engage foreign delegations and counterparts, which requires the team to prepare relevant materials such as country briefs, CVs and past engagement materials. To facilitate efficient access for more urgent engagements and knowledge management (KM), the team wants to develop a dashboard to: (i) maintain a repository of country and sectoral briefs. (ii) track when updates to briefs are due based on the level of priority. (iii) track past engagements between Country X and MCCY.

What you will be working on

The intern will work closely with IR officers to design / lead stakeholder engagements across MCCY regarding existing standard operation procedures, and support the development of a dashboard to track upcoming / past engagements. Through the project, you will be able to (i) understand the IR work undertaken by a largely-domestic facing Ministry, (ii) learn about MCCY’s priorities and engagements vis-a-vis other countries, and (iii) work closely with officers across MCCY, and better understand the breadth of MCCY’s interests and domains. Key deliverables for this program are: a. Developing a dashboard to (i) maintain a repository of country and sectoral briefs and (ii) track past engagements between Country X and MCCY. Creating standard operation procedures for use of the dashboard.

What we are looking for

• Data visualisation capabilities (proficiency with Tableau dashboards preferred) • Strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills • Good project management capabilities Application Details: We are seeking interns who can commit on a full-time basis.
