MCCY Strategic Planning and Finance Division (SPFD) wants to strengthen governance of Companies Limited by Guarantee (CLGs) under our purview. This project will involve updating an existing CLG Corporate Governance Handbook and formulating management contracts for better central oversight.

What the role is
What you will be working on
The intern will conduct desktop research and design / lead stakeholder engagements on required updates to the CLG Corporate Governance Handbook, including the formulation of management contracts / funding agreements; and understand how to review key financial returns.
Key deliverables are to:
a. Conduct desktop research and internal stakeholder engagements to update existing CLG Corporate Governance Handbook
b. Support formulation of funding agreements / management contracts to centralise oversight
c. Develop new iteration of the CLG Corporate Governance Handbook
d. Engage stakeholders to solicit feedback
Through the project, you will be able to work closely with officers across MCCY, and better understand the breadth of MCCY’s interests and domains. You will also develop an understanding of the corporate processes involved in running and managing companies and apply internal controls to strengthen corporate governance.
What we are looking for
• Stakeholder engagement and facilitation capabilities
• Strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills
• Data visualisation capabilities (proficiency with Tableau dashboards preferred)
• Knowledge of finance and/or business preferred
Good project management capabilities
