As an Assistant Engineer/Sr Assistant Engineer (Marina Barrage Operations), your roles and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Monitor rainfall occurrence in the Marina Reservoir Catchment • Carry out flood control operations via Barrage Crest Gates, Drainage Pumps, Sluices and their auxiliary systems • Carry out raw water transfer and recirculation operations for Marina Reservoir stock and water quality management • Conduct daily operational readiness checks for all flood control equipment • Perform first hand equipment troubleshooting when necessary and coordinate actions with maintenance personnel • Supervise work carried out by contractor, including generation of Works Orders for work execution, Completion Certificates for payment, Bills-of-Quantities for payment, etc. • Attend to public feedback and draft the replies • Carry out administrative and procurement works including preparation of technical specifications, etc • Drive PUB vehicle whenever required

• Diploma in Engineering • Able to work well independently and in teams • Good communication and interpersonal skills and possess a positive, can-do attitude • Able to perform shift work • Competent in basic computer skills, e.g. use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel spreadsheet, Powerpoint, etc.) • Preferably possess Class 3 Driving, Forklift and Powered Pleasure Craft Driving licences Location: Marina Barrage Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
