What the role is

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Assistant Director to lead the implementation of the Healthier SG initiative. This role involves managing residents' healthcare journeys and coordinating with community partners, healthcare clusters, active ageing centres, government agencies, and private health service providers. The ideal candidate will bring a transformative approach to service journeys across partners and possess strong capabilities in negotiation and strategic partnership development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Population Health strategies within the Healthier SG framework, ensuring they are in line with national health policies and objectives.
  • Regularly evaluate the impact of health initiatives, programmes against established goals, making necessary adjustments to align with community needs.
  • Oversee the development and refinement of pathways focused on preventive healthcare and health promotion that are centred around residents’ needs.
  • Ensure integrated and continuous care through effective collaboration with healthcare clusters, community partners, and active ageing centres amongst others.
  • Actively engage with a broad range of stakeholders including healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the public to incorporate a wide array of perspectives into the health planning process.
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with community entities to collaboratively design and implement health initiatives.
  • Provide visionary leadership to a matrix team, nurturing a culture of innovation, professional growth, and problem-solving.
  • Foster an environment that encourages proactive development and innovative approaches to healthcare programme delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare project, programme management and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities and experience in team management.
  • Strong skills in communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
