As an Engineer, Network Planning and Data Management Division, Data Analytics & System Development Section, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of PUB’s Smart Water Grid Analytics Platform and related analytic works, where scope includes the following:

What the role is
What you will be working on
• Engage stakeholders across the Department to co-drive the deployment of the Smart Water Grid Analytics Platform, the Department’s digital twin system that serves our day-to-day operational and planning needs. In this regard, you are to gather and finalise requirements from the users, and thereafter work with the appointed software vendor to implement the system within project timelines through organising workshops and user acceptance tests.
• Manage maintenance matters relating to the digital twin system (after its deployment phase), which include reviewing of monthly reports; working with counterparts from our IT Division to ensure system meets all audit and cybersecurity requirements; assisting with the day-to-day feedback from users; etc.
• Assess both functional and non-functional performance of the platform to proactively identify and address areas for continuous improvements, so that our users can better achieve their operational and planning outcomes.
• Conduct related hydraulic modelling and analytic works to optimize our water supply network’s overall performance – such as the development of virtual District Metering Area (vDMA) plan for more precise detection of anomalies in our network, water balance and network pressure surge analyses, etc.
• Lead engagements/conversations with prospective technology partners to test and validate new digital twin functionalities / use cases which might be applicable in our context.
What we are looking for
1. Degree in Engineering
2. Candidates with relevant experience are preferred.
3. Good in using computer software and dealing with numbers and calculations, preferably with coding knowledge or interest to learn coding.
4. Good in analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
5. Self-motivated and driven. Work well independently and a good team player
