At MOF’s Security & Resilience Programmes (SRP) Directorate, we work with a wide range of Government agencies to optimally allocate the Government’s resources in support of its priorities. The team co-shapes policies and programmes with agency partners across security, technology, and community verticals. It also develops innovative governance models to maximise the benefits from aligning incentives across multiple stakeholders, including the private and people sectors.

What the role is
What you will be working on
As an Associate/ Senior Associate, you will have a fulfilling experience working with public sector leaders to address complex issues and solve wicked problems. This will include:
• Advancing Singapore's ambition to be a Smart Nation, pushing for digital transformation and enabling a nationwide Artificial Intelligence strategy. You will work with agencies such as the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office, and the Government Technology Agency.
• Building community resilience in our nation, such as by promoting the sports and arts, strengthening the governance over public service media, accelerating the growth of our philanthropy hub, and enabling community-led movements. You will work with the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, and the Ministry of Communications and Information.
• Contributing to a safe and secure Singapore by supporting domestic security, national defence and foreign relations initiatives implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore.
• Strengthening the Centre-of-Government to provide coherence in whole-of-government planning and execution to tackle long term and cross-cutting issues. You will work with the Prime Minister’s Office (including the Public Service Division, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and other PMO departments).
• Ensuring the effectiveness of our Organs of State (including our legal, judicial, and statutory institutions).
On a day-to-day basis, you will evaluate the viability and business case for a wide range of projects under your charge. You will be expected to develop new strategies and policies, formulate evaluation approaches to resource new initiatives, and lead negotiations with agency partners. You will also have many chances to build new networks and to be involved in MOF-wide assignments.
What we are looking for
• Academic background in Economics, Finance/Statistics/Accounting, Business or Public Policy is helpful; specialised backgrounds (e.g. computer science, law, international affairs) may be an advantage for some roles.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Comfortable with quantitative information and able to present information and data through charts, graphs, and models.
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
• Enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
