What the role is

Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will lead VITAL’s workforce capability development initiatives. In this role, you will shape our organisation’s competencies, aligning them with Public Sector Transformation goals and VITAL’s strategic objectives.

What you will be working on

Your key responsibilities will include: Strategic Capability Building  Conduct annual reviews of VITAL’s learning needs and training effectiveness of key learning programmes.  Identify future competencies crucial for organisational success  Develop and implement strategies to build these competencies  Drive centrally managed programmes  Collaborate with divisions to implement competency frameworks and craft role-specific profiles On-boarding and On-the Job Training  Enhance onboarding and orientation programmes  Strengthen On-the-Job Training initiatives, including e-learning management Business Partnering  Analyse divisional learning needs and curate tailored training programmes  Provide advisory services to support divisional learning objectives  Address stakeholder feedback to ensure continuous improvement Data Analysis & Reporting  Establish and monitor KPIs for core competency and functional competency programmes  Analyse training and budget data for insightful management reporting Continuous Improvement  Stay current with capability building best practices  Drive innovation in processes and leverage technology to enhance productivity

What we are looking for

 Tertiary qualification with at least 4 years of relevant experience  Strong interest in competency models and diverse learning methodologies  Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills  Proven project management and facilitation abilities  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written  Self-driven, independent and able to multi-task effectively  Proficiency in various media software and e-learning platforms We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
