Manager/Senior Manager (Product Team)

Inter-Generational Support (IGS)/ Family Life Group (FLG), Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) Family Life Group (FLG), under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) aims to strengthen and support families through their different life stages, so as to realise the vision of making Singapore the best place for family life through our policies, programmes and publicity efforts. Inter-Generational Support (IGS) under FLG, encourages pre-planning, through the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), which protects the dignity and safeguards the interests of vulnerable persons lacking mental capacity (P) through deputyship supervision and supports the reconciliation of families. You will be joining the product team within IGS, and using good product management practices, you will plan & deliver technology projects and drive user-centric digitalisation for the Office of Public Guardian. The candidate should be passionate about creating social impact with technology, and will work to: • Create and drive feature deliverables for the Office of Public Guardian Online (OPGO), collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, such as subject matter experts, cybersecurity professionals, and solution architects. • Support in building the OPGO product strategy & roadmap, • Drive analysis & improvements in user experience of citizens in OPGO and related user journeys, • Drive cost-to-impact analysis & improvements in our technology efforts • Support in pilots & experimentation, to improve go-to-market outcomes for OPGO

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following aspects: • Supporting the Product manager in all processes to (i) understand the user, their user journey, engagement & behaviour with OPGO, (ii) make good prioritisation decisions, across business impact, time, cost, complexity considerations, (iii) to deliver existing and new services effectively • Facilitating discussions to create User story tickets, grooming, writing acceptance criteria, working with vendors for estimates, collaboration and coordination with various teams & forums, system & user testing • Driving deliverable progress according to timelines, and monitoring across other deliverables in the product roadmap • Conducting User studies & user interviews, to better understand their needs and problems • Analysing data to develop hypothesis for pilots, experiments, and product features • Delivering measurable impact from features, with clear metrics aligning to product strategy & outcomes

The ideal candidate: • Is passionate about using technology to deliver value for the public and social good • Will have experience writing code eg. Web development • 2+ years of experience in product development / management • Will possesses strong communication skills, both writing and speaking • Is resourceful and takes initiative, has strong work ethic, and ability to work independently to get things done in a fast-paced environment • Can drive the team towards consensus • Has a desire to learn and continuously improve
