What the role is
What you will be working on
1. Collaborate with the Operations and MEICA sections on the implementation of smart projects in the plant.
2. Perform Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic modification, as part of process improvement and optimization.
3. Manage Active Directories, DNS, Access Control, Security Policies, User and Group Policies, User and Data Settings, Users, Groups, Computers and Shared Directories and related requests by the Board.
4. Perform regular check on anti-virus management server, update anti-virus definition(s) monthly to all clients and remove thoroughly virus(es) on affected server and clients.
5. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all SCADA (servers, workstations, laptops, printers, firewall, etc) and PLC systems.
6. Perform troubleshooting, regularly checks and backups and housekeeping on SCADA equipment to ensure Windows systems such as OS, memory space and hardware, etc are healthy and updated.
7. Ensure all SCADA equipment comply to the Board’s cybersecurity requirements in accordance with the Cyber Security Agency’s (CSA) Cybersecurity Act, Legislations and the Cybersecurity Code of Practice (CCoP).
8. Perform, maintain and update the equipment and software inventory and keep track of all software licensing.
9. Implement and manage the servicing and maintenance of SCADA and PLC systems and able to attend to emergency calls or activation back to plant after office hours for work exigencies.
10. Perform procurement roles on both the WOG ACE system and Asset Management System (AMS) to raise purchase orders (POs), works orders (WOs), job cards and job plans. Generate Good Receipt Notes (GRN) and Completion Certificates (CC) for services rendered, e.g. SCADA and PLC maintenance and servicing, acquiring of materials, parts & equipment. Supervision and verification of site work, check and vet service reports and supporting documents to certify payments.
11. Ensure compliance to safety requirements for all works, including but not limited to – putting up NTW/PTW permits, conduct toolbox meeting and RA briefing, conduct safety inspections, prepare/review Risk Assessment (RA) and Safe Work Procedure (SWP).
What we are looking for
• Diploma in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science/Engineering or relevant engineering diploma
• Preferably with two (2) years of hands-on experience in administration, servicing and maintaining of SCADA servers and computers using Windows platforms and PLC systems.
• Preferably with two (2) years of hands-on experience in administration, servicing and maintaining of OT network monitoring and management system. Fresh diploma holders are welcomed to apply.
• Proficient in computer skills – e.g. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
• Able to work in used water treatment environment and physically able to perform site works.
• Officer will be based at Ulu Pandan Water Reclamation Plant.
