The Senior Engineer will be responsible to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities to ensure that our facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained. This includes managing a team of maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, procuring and managing facilities engineering contracts, and managing an integrated facilities management contractor. What the role is
What you will be working on
• Manage a team of Engineers/Assistant Engineers and the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) Contractor to plan and deliver facilities operations and building engineering services, such as Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation System (ACMV), fire alarm system, lift, generators, etc.
• Oversee contractors/subcontractors’ performance and service level in delivering building and facilities services in accordance with the contract specifications, and complying with specified Key Performance Indicators, Workplace Safety and Health Act, fire Safety requirements, regulatory and statutory requirements. E.g. inspections and renewal of Building Fire Certificate & other license renewal (BCA/JTC/MOM etc).
• Collaborate and engage with relevant departments on facilities maintenance works and manage the scheduled maintenance of buildings and facilities-related equipment.
• Monitor and track facilities maintenance schedule, prepare monthly performance reports and attend regular/ad hoc meetings with stakeholders (e.g., department officers, IFM contractors/subcontractors, etc.).
• Drive and implement projects which improve and/or enhance the buildings and facilities.
• Prepare and draft tender requirements/specifications (including technical requirements if necessary) and oversee the process of tender evaluation and award of contract in accordance with established procurement procedures.
• Prepare budgets and projected expenses.
• Analyse and interpret data to support decision-making and process improvement.
What we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 6 years of working experience with minimum 3 years of team/staff managerial experience
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
• Good proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written; ability to effectively interact with staff and senior management.
• A self-driven, proactive individual who is able to work independently as well as with multi-disciplinary teams.
