You will be part of the Communications and 3P Partnership Division, which is responsible for the formulation and implementation of communications strategies, the management of MSE digital media channels and the engagement of stakeholders to foster shared ownership of our environment and water and food resources. You will lead one of two teams within the Strategic Communications and Media Operations branch, which is responsible for day-to-day corporate communications for the Ministry, and the formulation and implementation of communications strategies. This includes guiding and working with your team and partners to build understanding of the Ministry’s policies on issues such as public health, water supply and conservation, vector control and hawker centres.

Your key responsibilities may include: - Developing and providing guidance on communications plans for key policy announcements - Research and data analysis to understand media coverage and public sentiments g) Vetting and drafting communications materials, including speeches and media releases - Supporting political appointment holders for events and interview requests - Supervising and ensuring the welfare of team members.

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as social sciences, mass communications, media studies or public relations • Relevant experience in strategic, marketing and social media communications • Excellent proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written • Good knowledge of local media, social media and current affairs • Proficiency in a vernacular language would be a bonus • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills • Independent, motivated and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
