DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, ASSET SERVICES
[What your will be working on]
You will be part of the LTA Finance team, responsible for the accounting and reporting of LTA’s assets (rails, roads, corporate infrastructure, etc) to ensure effective assets control, compliance with regulatory policies/standards and support strategic decision making on assets related initiatives to achieve optimal life-cycle benefits. This role will provide you with the opportunity to glean deep insights on the development of major land transport infrastructural assets in Singapore and co-solution with our internal business groups/Ministries to derive policies and processes for effective assets records management.
Your key responsibilities include:
executing finance operations/advisory work to support assets accounting and reporting in accordance with all prevailing regulations (e.g. SB-Financial Reporting Standards, Government IMs);
executing major annual exercises such as Fixed Asset Confirmation exercise and ensuring that all asset discrepancies are resolved timely;
executing year-end closing processes & liaising with internal/external auditors to support annual financial report preparation;
performing cost reviews and capitalisation of development projects;
partnering our business groups and internal/external stakeholders in the management and custodian of these assets through the asset’s lifecycle;
analysing and synthesising fixed assets data through the bold use of technology (Fi@Gov, PowerBI platforms) to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision making;
driving digitalisation/transformational initiatives to enhance operational processes and conducting process reviews to cull process inefficiencies;
supporting development of WOG centralised systems
[What we are looking for]
• Knowledge in Accountancy
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience is preferred
• Effective team player who is committed and self-driven
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, resourceful and able to work independently.
• Meticulous with numbers and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of SAP, data analytics/visualisation tools & Robotic Process Automation (RPA) will be an added advantage.
• As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment
