What the role is

The Planning & Programmes Division (PPD) is responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing strategies, policies, and programmes related to Training Providers (TP). The division aims to support a responsive, competitive, and high-quality Continuing Education and Training (CET) ecosystem, fostering a highly skilled and adaptable workforce.

What you will be working on

The Manager/Senior Manager will report to an Assistant Director/Principal Manager and will be responsible for driving the adoption of policies and programmes, ensuring they meet stakeholders' diverse needs. This role offers opportunities to enhance strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills. • Policy and Programme Tracking and Reporting o Track and report progress and outcomes of policies and programmes, including data gathering and analysis for reporting, overseeing budgets, and developing system enhancements. • Stakeholder Collaboration and Solution Development o Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand analytic needs and devise possible solutions. o Handle data requests and provide contextualised statistics, offering solutions and insights to support data-driven policy and programme review and decision-making. • Data Analysis and Insight Generation o Clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy, perform data and error analysis. o Apply data mining techniques and perform statistical analysis. o Conduct analysis of CET data and CET-related survey results and studies to generate insights for policy and programme review and design. • Data Visualisation and Dashboard Development o Develop and refine visualisation dashboards on CET data and insights to facilitate quick access to key indicators for team members and senior management.

What we are looking for

Work experience and competencies • Possess the required competencies to execute the job duties proficiently • Possess strong numeracy and analytical skills. • Enjoy working with numbers and comfortable in working with large data sets. • Familiar with statistical methods and use of data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI. • Keen sense in value of data relating to business objectives • Able to understand policy concerns and analyse data in support of policy development and evaluation. • Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. • Able to communicate well (both in writing and in speech). • Able to prioritise and monitor progress of work tasks effectively, so as to ensure that deliverables are met in a timely manner. • For Senior Manager position, the candidate should have at least 4 years of relevant experience. • For Manager position, applicants with no experience may apply ii. About SkillsFuture Singapore

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Education (MOE). It will drive and coordinate the implementation of the national SkillsFuture movement, promote a culture and holistic system of lifelong learning through the pursuit of skills mastery, and strengthen the ecosystem of quality education and training in Singapore. SSG will strengthen the adult training infrastructure by taking on all existing functions of the Committee for Private Education (CPE) and guide the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) to enhance the capabilities and professionalism of adult educators. SSG will play a key role in the quality assurance for private education institutions and adult training centres. Together with educational institutions and training partners, SSG will ensure that students and working adults have access to high quality, industry-relevant training throughout life. SSG will also bring together synergies in continuing education and training (CET) and pre-employment training (PET), so skills requirements will continue to meet the demands of different sectors of the economy.
