What the role is

The Assistant Manager/Manager (Transformation) will be part of the team that will facilitate the transformation of an enforcement division to be at the forefront of enforcement work. This is an important role that will look into research, user interviews and discussions, conceptualisation of ideas as well as project manage to ensure the success of transformation initiatives that will contribute to achieving strategic business goals and operational objectives.

What you will be working on

• Conduct strategic engagements with internal stakeholders to facilitate discussions and identify problems/ areas where processes could be enhanced with use of technology • Identify opportunities for performance improvements and conduct research into good practices and new ideas • Establish contacts with other public agencies/ GovTech/ solution providers, e.g. institution of higher learning, research community and industry and collaborate with leading industry experts on possible digitalization/ technical solutions • Forge partnerships with internal IT partners, research institutes, institution of higher learning & associations • Conceptualise and design plans for approval on ideas as well as to seek budget funding with MOM senior management/ MOM • Manages proof-of-concepts and pilots, leading to deployment of solutions and scaling the solutions to whole of department, if applicable Be a change agent, working with internal and external stakeholders across the government, in identifying and achieving the desired outcomes

What we are looking for

• 2 years of relevant work experience, though fresh graduates with design thinking and behavioural insights training may apply • Experience/knowledge in stakeholder engagement and project management • Have some knowledge of emerging technologies, e.g. IoT, robotics will be an advantage • Detailed-oriented and analytical, without losing sight of the bigger picture • Have strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to build relationships across divisions and organization • Can translate high-level strategy into executable plans • Able to interact with officers of all levels • Self-motivated and results-driven, and can effectively manage multiple priorities
