Key Responsibilities
- The Deputy Commissioner will work closely with the Commissioner to provide strategic leadership and vision to drive the agency’s mission and objectives.
- Co-develop and execute a strategic roadmap to establish the Centre as a trusted centre to help victims of online harms and improve protection for victims.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and relevant stakeholders to promote collaboration and support for the agency’s mission to provide effective relief and assurance to victims of online harms.
- Oversee the Centre’s operations, including case resolution and investigations.
- Oversee the Centre’s sound corporate service management, in areas such as HR, finance matters and public communications.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of supervisory experience in a technology policy or operations related role in the private or public sectors.
- Experience in Public Policy, Online Content Regulation, Online Trust and Safety work would be advantageous.
- Strong interest in online safety, and good knowledge of how online platforms operate, including social media services and app stores.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
You may be exposed to graphic content not limited to Minor Safety, Suicide and Self Harm, Violent Extremism and Bullying so your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role is essential.
Position will be commensurate with experience.
