Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible to lead the team and drive the following workstream to help resolve the cases that are brought to the agency’s attention:
- Manage an Operations team to proactively evaluate and respond to stakeholders reports and public feedback on online content, ensuring a dynamic and adaptive online safety approach.
- Conduct thorough and balanced assessments on potentially harmful online material, taking swift and decisive action to address them.
- Ensuring smooth operations, and managing the overall workflow, including issuance and compliance of directions, ensuring modalities and data are up to date.
- Undertake multiple stakeholder negotiations with Industry and coordination with Whole of Government in relation to victim relief against online harmful material
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a technology policy or operations related role in the private or public sectors. Job grade will be based on duration and level of relevant work experience.
- Experience in an Operations role, Public Policy, Online Content Regulation, Online Trust and Safety space would be advantageous.
- Strong interest in online safety, and good knowledge of how online platforms operate, including social media services and app stores.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
Position will be commensurate with experience.
