The role of the intern will be attached to the Learning and Development Office (LDO).
Intern will work together to create a futures thinking game that also functions as a methodological framework, in which officers can modify the game to recontextualise the design to their operating environment and sensemaking.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will work with a small team to produce design elements for serious games and roleplay simulations, including – but not limited to – logos, print and digital layouts, web assets, concept/mood boards, etc. There will be subject matter experts on the team and your job is to recommend and create impactful designs/layouts for the material/content generated to support the work of this team.
You may be asked to contribute on other pieces of work for the department if your schedule and bandwidth allows. These may not necessarily be in the field of new media or visual design and communications, but do offer extensive opportunities to experience capability development, research and more within a learning & development (L&D) context.
What we are looking for
To be considered for the role, you must attach a design portfolio (or link to one online) that showcases examples of your design work.
• Ability to translate specific subject matter into good visual design for engagement, immersiveness, and communication purposes.
• Good critical reasoning skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Comfortable interacting face to face/on video with team members.
