Singapore’s urban planning currently follows a ‘polycentric model’, which aims to de-centralise job nodes across various regional centres to better manage traffic flow and to bring workplaces closer to homes.
The FUL study aims to investigate how Singapore’s current ‘polycentric’ planning model may evolve to include a more distributed network of jobs, amenities, walking, active mobility and green infrastructure to futureproof our towns so that they can better respond to changing demographics and deliver better health and liveability.
