The Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) plays an important role in making Singapore a better place through Finance. We do this through building a strong foundation in providing robust financial systems and processes that serve key stakeholders including our pensioners, vendors and the public sector. Our team of accounting professionals work at AGD and are deployed to the public agencies to deliver a wide range of financial and accounting-related services to the Public Service. Together we play a critical role in helping the Government achieve its fiscal and economic objectives through sound stewardship and governance.

You will be part of the Treasury Directorate under the Treasury, Technical and Analytics Group and contribute to the effective management of the Government’s Balance Sheet. Your responsibilities include: 1. Assets • Implementing policies and processes to optimise Statutory Boards’ investments • Monitoring and management of Government’s liquidity 2. Liabilities • Implementing policies and processes relating to the Government liabilities e.g., implementation of new Government borrowing initiatives such as SINGA • Monitoring and reporting of Government’s Liabilities e.g., Statement of Outstanding Guarantees and Other Financial Liabilities (SOGFL) in Government Financial Statements • Managing public communications relating to Government’s borrowings

Functional/Technical Competencies • Tertiary qualifications in Accountancy / Business / Finance / Data Analytics / related disciplines • CA Singapore certification is preferred • 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting, treasury, banking or finance • Ability to proactively develop and manage relationships with various key stakeholders • Ability to put forth sound proposals on finance, investment and reserves for senior management decision-making • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Generic Competencies • Possess strong analytical, critical thinking, numerical and problem-solving skills • Good time management skills and able to multi-task and prioritize key deliverables • Meticulous and a good team player who is able to work well independently • Strong communication and interpersonal skills You will be notified whether you are shortlisted within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.
