The Training and Competency Development Division (TCD) is MHA’s staff authority for major and cross-cutting Training and Learning (T&L) issues and ensures that training policies and plans are progressive and future-proofed. It is responsible for charting the overall strategic direction for Home Team (HT) training policies, resource development and driving training transformation. This includes ensuring that MHA HQ officers have a seamless and meaningful training and learning (T&L) experience to ensure optimal training and learning.
Key responsibilities of SAE (Training Administration) include:
• Plan, coordinate, and execute the engagement of stakeholders, such as MHQ Divisions and Home Team Departments (HTDs), to foster a stronger culture of learning in MHA
• Plan and execute implementation of the training interventions as part of MHA’s upskilling efforts
• Identify improvements to engagement and communication with MHQ community to improve and continue to strengthen a culture of learning in MHQ
• Resolve queries and problems related to training administration, including training systems and finance processes
• Provide timely administrative support to Division

What you will be working on
• Stakeholder engagement and learning culture development
o Plan, coordinate, and execute the engagement of stakeholders, such as MHQ Divisions and HTDs, to foster a stronger culture of learning in MHA
o Work with HTDs to gather insights and feedback on various training initiatives/ interventions to foster a stronger culture of learning in MHA
o Conduct post-implementation reviews with MHQ Divisions and HTDs to identify possible ways to improve the suggested training interventions
o Identify and implement improvements to engagement and communication strategies within the MHQ community
o Support Divisional learning initiatives and strengthen the learning culture within MHQ
• Training planning, coordination, and execution
o Plan and execute implementation of training interventions, such as adhoc training seminars and workshops, as part of MHA's upskilling efforts
o Assist with the coordination of training schedules, manage course attendance, and ensure smooth delivery of training programmes
o Work with training providers and stakeholders to ensure effective training delivery
• Training administration and system management
o Resolve queries and problems related to training administration and assist MHQ Divisions in T&L processes.
o Operate and manage the training administration functions of IT systems, e.g. HRPS, Voices, LEARN, HTLMS2.0, iLMS
o Assist officers who face issues when using the training modules in various IT systems
• Process improvement and administrative support
o Assist to identify other areas to review, refine, streamline or propose new approaches to improve training administration
o Support the Division in planning and organising meetings, retreats, events and other forms of engagement in a timely manner
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisors

• Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Innovative, resourceful and persuasive
• Passionate about training and learning and developing individual and organisational capabilities to meet future challenges
• Excited to work in a greenfield area - comfortable operating without fixed SOPs
• Experience with training administration roles preferred
• Digital experience/skills preferred, e.g. proficient in Canva, Excel, Robotic Process Automation, simple app development
