Manager / Senior Manager, Research Directorate

Job Responsibilities: • The responsibilities of the officer include, but is not limited to, the following: • Conceptualise, plan, develop and implement organisational development strategy across RO, ensuring alignment with the A*STAR's mission, vision, and values and RO's mandate; • Assist with RO's annual strategic planning exercise including strategy sessions, work plans and deliverables by working with department heads in aligning their initiatives with overall organisational/RO strategy; • Assist in matters related to RO's budget and implement internal controls, policy, processes, and systems for the division; • Contribute to the development of actionable plans to achieve strategic objectives and mitigate risks, and monitor progress towards goals; • Support the development and maintenance of a robust performance management framework to track and report on strategic initiatives; and • Develop clear strategy and policy papers for RO.

JOB REQUIREMENTS • Educational background in science and/or engineering will be an advantage • Possess strong strategic thinking, people and negotiation skills • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations • Team player, pro-active, quality conscious, attentive to details and results-oriented • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders • Self-starter mindset, take initiative and resourcefulness, and a knack for solving problems • Good leadership and project management skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite • Min 3 years of working experience in the public sector, strategic and/or corporate planning, would be an advantage The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
