MOH Future Systems & Innovation Division (FSID) oversees MOH’s innovation strategy, which aims to drive the translation of strategic, clinically- and cost-effective health innovations and technologies into impactful implementations across the Singapore healthcare ecosystem. This involves horizon scanning and reviewing health technologies and their potential benefit for our public healthcare system, master-planning proven solutions or insights into mainstream, and developing an enabling health innovation ecosystem. To enable this, FSID works closely with a wide network of stakeholders and partners, and also oversees the MOH Health Innovation Fund.
You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, in a multi-disciplinary team with a range of healthcare stakeholders. This will require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.

What the role is
What you will be working on
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic planning and implementation of MOH’s innovation strategy, with key areas of interest in artificial intelligence, sensors and wearables, and robotics and automation, as well as other potentially high-impact process and product innovations; this will also involve close coordination with the National Medical Research Council Office on MOH’s overall research and innovation strategy
- Formulate and oversee the MOH Health Innovation Fund grant and funding strategy, including conducting policy reviews and measuring and tracking the success of grant investments to ensure the alignment of funded activities with desired innovation strategy outcomes
- Oversee the engagement strategy with local and international stakeholders to stay abreast of developments and build thought leadership in innovation and forge partnerships that support healthcare priorities (e.g. precision research, population health, ageing)
- Work with fellow middle managers to develop and nurture the division to achieve both division and individual goals
What we are looking for
Work Experience, Competencies and Personal Traits
- Education in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Healthcare/ Public Policy related fields
- Experience in strategic planning, as well as in healthcare, digital health and/or STEM is advantageous
- Experience in strategic resource management
- Strong people development, leadership, and engagement skills Effective analytical, written and oral communication skills
- Highly driven and goal-oriented, and able to operate under tight timelines
