What the role is
What you will be working on
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and deliverables.
- Oversee project execution, manage resources, and mitigate risks.
- Stay updated on geospatial technologies and drive platform innovation.
- Coordinate between technical teams, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Identify collaboration opportunities and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Manage project finances, including budgets, funding, and procurement.
What we are looking for
- Degree in Geospatial Science, GIS, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in geospatial project management, preferably in public sector or enterprise projects.
- Strong understanding of GIS (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), web mapping (e.g., Leaflet, Cesium, Mapbox), geospatial data management (e.g., PostGIS), and location-based services integration (e.g., RESTful APIs).
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality outcomes.
- Knowledge of software development processes and workflows.
