What the role is

You lead a team to authorise information release in MINDEF/SAF.

What you will be working on

You play a paramount role in ensuring that classified MINDEF/SAF information is not released to the public. Armed with insider knowledge of our classified capabilities, you are the authority to assess the approvals for information release by MINDEF/SAF to the general public. As part of the work, your team also assists in compiling enterprise-level security risks across MINDEF/SAF.

What we are looking for

Past military leadership experience or ex-Government officer with experience in information release or enterprise security risk management. Possess good leadership abilities with excellent communication skills, verbal and written. ASIS (CPP) accreditation preferred. Experience in capability development projects is a plus.

About Military Security Department

The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
