What the role is

MINDEF/SAF handle and process different types of secrets on a daily basis. Inadequate protection of our information could potentially put our technology at risk. Our job is to help stakeholders develop security envelopes to help secure MINDEF/SAF’s classified acquisitions.

What you will be working on

Love military technology? Want to know what we have and help safeguard our warfighting edge? You will lead a team who will work closely with various stakeholders, including with foreign counterparts, to develop plans to ensure the security of their classified assets, both physically and digitally. You are expected to be up and about to develop and advise on protection measures to deny unauthorised access to our classified asset. Your role is pivoting in maintaining the peace and security of Singapore.

What we are looking for

Past military experience in managing classified acquisitions. You are naturally inquisitive and a creative problem-solver. You possess good interpersonal skills but will not shy away from standing firm on your position. Possess good leadership abilities with excellent communication skills, verbal and written. ASIS (CPP) accreditation is a plus. Travelling is required.

About Military Security Department

The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
