You will be part of a team to plan, develop and maintain databases used for Enterprise Systems, securing data and detecting malicious activities in databases with reference to organisation policies and industry best practices. This is done to maintain the performance, confidentiality, integrity, consistency and security of the data.
You will be maintaining oversight as well as review, enhance and recommend new processes to ensure databases and data are in compliance with established policies and control framework.

What the role is
What you will be working on
You will be analyzing databases (on different products) and database schemas. You will also be referring to policies, governance framework and best practices.
What we are looking for
You should have a tertiary education, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or related fields, with at least 1 year of experience in Relational Databases coupled with extensive hands-on experience. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be a good team player. Possession of certifications in Database Security for Cyber Professionals is advantageous.
About Military Security Department
The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
