What the role is

You will lead a team in Policy and Plans section to formulate and implement procurement policies as well as govern procurement processes to ensure adherence to the policies and guidelines.

What you will be working on

As the operations manager of the electronic procurement system(s), you will enforce governance of procurement policies through the use of procurement system(s). You will constantly monitor and assess the procurement landscape and implement reviews to meet user expectations. As part of governance, you will be expected to conduct checks and internal audits to identify weaknesses in the processes and implement solutions (e.g. policy reviews, conduct trainings and sharing) to strengthen governance.

What we are looking for

You must have a tertiary education, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business or Logistics management. At least five years of experience in policy formulation, governance, data analytics and procurement systems such as SAP and Oracle would be advantageous. You should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work well in teams.

About Military Security Department

The Military Security Department (MSD)’s core business is in Counter Intelligence and internal security for MINDEF/SAF. MSD was formed in 1975 to counter the threats of espionage, subversion and sabotage against MINDEF/SAF. It began with two main entities, namely the Counter Intelligence Branch (CIB) and Field Security Branch (FSB). Over the years, the department has continued to evolve and our roles expanded in tandem with the changing security environment. Today, our roles also include Counter Terrorism and Cyber Security.
